Last Saturday and Sunday, we opened our doors for our two-day brewery fest together with BrauKon.
Local union day
On Saturday, April 6, we invited local unions to get together in Seeon for our big “weighing day”. BrauKon constructed and built a 6x6m scale, holding up to 20 tons, specifically for this event. The heaviest union was given its overall weight in free beer.
With 92 union members and an overall weight of 8265 kilos (8256 liters of free beer), local “Burschenverein” from Seeon took home the trophy of “heaviest union”. The second and third places received a brewery tour including beer tasting and food as well as an annual beer supply. The heaviest average weight as well as the union with most female members were also rewarded.
On Sunday, we invited visitors to find out more about our brewing process, the raw materials as well as the construction of brewery plants. Tours through the company building, fresh beer directly from the tank, an information corner on apprenticeships at BrauKon or Camba as well as a raffle with great prizes were just some of the attractions.
For the first time, we also offered bread from our own Camba bakery, which officially opens on April 16. In the openly built bakery, visitors had the chance to watch every step of the baking process and to find out more on the various breads. We also introduced our signature bread “Brauerkruste” (brewer’s crust), which a sourdough bread made with spelt wheat and some Camba Dark Side beer.
