On Wednesday, 20th of January, we were pleased to welcome the BrauKon customer Albert Kominski and this team from Pizzaboy Brewing Company from Enola, Pennsylvania, US.

Together with our master brewer Ferdinand Weingarten and Head of Technic of BrauKon, Christian Kull, they brewed a Chocolate Coffee Stout. This very strong beer (9.5% alcohol!) is extremely aromatic and tastes like a chocolate cake. They used Vilcamba coffee from Ecuador and French Valrhona Cocoa Nibs to create this unique flavor. 

BrauKon customer Al started his own 5 hl craft beer brewery in 2011 in order to expand his family-run pizzeria with his own beer. Meanwhile, the third brewery, a 40 hl BrauKon plant was installed in 2015 since the second 20 hl brewery had already reached its capacity limits. Albert offers a huge selection of home-brewed beers. His Hoptart, a so-called American Wild Ale, won the silver medal in the category Experimental Style at the World Beer Cup.
